About Weingut
Weingut Dönnhoff is widely regarded as the leading estate of Germany's Nahe region, with the family making wine in Oberhausen an der Nahe since 1750. Its modern fame rests on Helmut Dönnhoff, who took charge of winemaking in 1971 and elevated the estate to the front rank of German Riesling, drawing precise, mineral, transparent wines from celebrated sites such as the Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle, Oberhäuser Brücke and Schlossböckelheimer Felsenberg. Since the 2000s his son Cornelius Dönnhoff has progressively taken over as owner and cellarmaster, maintaining the estate's exacting standards. Around 80 percent of its roughly 20–25 hectares is planted to Riesling, with the balance in Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris. The range spans bone-dry Grosses Gewächs to nobly sweet late-harvest bottlings, all marked by clarity, finesse and the cool mineral signature of the Nahe's volcanic and slate soils. The estate has been a VDP member since 1991.

Editorial notes
Spans bone-dry Grosses Gewächs to sweet late-harvest Rieslings; the dry GGs and the Brücke Spätlese are highlights. Excellent cellar candidates.
