About Cullen
Cullen Wines is a founding name of Western Australia's Margaret River region, based at Wilyabrup. Diana and Kevin Cullen planted trial vines in 1966 and established a commercial vineyard in 1971, originally trading as Wilyabrup Wines. Their daughter Vanya Cullen took over winemaking in 1989 and serves today as managing director and senior winemaker, keeping the estate firmly family-owned. Cullen is celebrated for its flagship 'Diana Madeline' Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot, alongside acclaimed Chardonnay and a Sauvignon Blanc-Semillon blend. A leader in sustainable viticulture, the estate adopted organic methods in 1998 and has been run on biodynamic principles since 2003, earning A-grade biodynamic certification and operating as a certified carbon-positive, naturally powered property. About 20,000 cases are produced each vintage from 45 hectares of estate vineyards. Cullen's combination of pedigree, consistency and ecological commitment makes it one of Australia's most respected fine-wine producers.
